ABOUT THE SISTAH SHOP

The Sistah Shop, launched in 2021, features and sells an exclusive collection of Black women-owned brands from around the country and internationally.  We are the "Amazon" of Black women-owned brands providing a platform where sistahs can showcase their products, generate revenue, and expand their customer base while becoming a part of a dynamic community of Black women entrepreneurs.  

 

We are a one-stop-shop for customers who are intentional about supporting Black women-owned brands, featuring unique and high quality items in various categories, including clothing and accessories, skincare and hair care, home goods and decor, books, art, crafts, games, and so much more for the entire family. 

ABOUT SISTAHs in business expo

The Sistahs in Business Expo is the country's only multi-city small business expo and community created to celebrate and educate entrepreneurial women of color.  SIBEXPO provides affordable and accessible opportunities where women of color can showcase and grow their businesses while gaining valuable resources and information.

 

This mission is carried out through our multi-city expos and virtual showcases, our Sistahs in Business University courses and events, our Sistahs in Business Pitch Competitions, and our Sistahs in Business Foundation.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Aisha Taylor Issah is a successful entrepreneur, ordained minister, and former college professor and public administrator, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Over the years, she and her work have been featured in numerous publications and media outlets including Black Enterprise, Sheen Magazine, NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX. SIBEXPO was launched in 2017 and provides various opportunities for women of color entrepreneurs that Aisha wishes she had when she started her first business many years ago.

 

Aisha is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (B.S.), Marist College (MPA), and New York Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. While we carries many titles including minister, wife, sister, and friend, Aisha's greatest title and joy is being mom to her toddler son, Austin.
